I call tennis my first career. Hahaha. A “career” that started when I was 4 and lasted until I was 21. I had a lot of energy. I can remember when my Mom tried to get me into TM meditation as a kid and I would just fall asleep. I’m sure now that I needed meditation at the age but I also needed something that focused my energy.
So years later when I found Kundalini Yoga and Meditation I was immediately hooked. This practice was for everyone, even me: an athlete with lots of energy and insanely tight hamstrings; in good shape but not flexible at all; and over-the-top energy which I now call a whirlwinder. The meditations included chanting and moving so I was able to stay with it and gain the incredible benefits like better concentration and focus; a sense of peace and calm that lasts all day; and overall clarity that improved every other part of my life. These benefits are why I love teaching it so much. Meditation can be intimidating and overwhelming because of pre-conceived ideas of what it is. I want you to know you can do it; have fun with it; and receive amazing benefits from doing it. It is a science for our minds, bodies, nervous system, glandular system, and energy to experience. A practice to bring you from unawareness to awareness and awaken your own personal excellence. Isn’t that worth waking up 15 minutes earlier? From caterpillar to butterfly from polliwog to frog the transformation is there for all of us to experience. Let’s do this.
